Starting the weekend off with a relaxed surf session for the 'students' (no waves for Jan cause too tiny :-)).
August caught a nice big Wrasse.

And another day in paradise :-)

Some impressions from the weekend. This time we went on a fishing, surf and wildlife adventure with Lina and August to spend a day on beautiful Bruny Island.

Getting the boat ready at the boatramp at Tinderbox. What a lovely day!

Nice spot for the boat to be anchored.

The 'surf students' getting ready to catch some waves.

 Jan watching the surf...

...but doesn't seem to be satisfied with the quality of the waves.

Meanwhile Lina and Bine went to have a look at the arc.
Jan and August getting ready to catch some fish for dinner :-)

After a beautiful day at the beach, we had some company on our way back :-)

After a looong day, we enjoyed the fish we caught.

Tassie life

Hello everybody, another weekend with awesome weather (Sat 23°C and Sun 26°C) has come and gone and of course we have been out and about to enjoy the weather. We spent the weekend away on Bruny Island (South of Hobart) with our campervan. Thanks to a good hint from Axel, we went on a little hike and the spot we found turned out to be an excellent surf spot, also for Bine, surrounded by a stunning landscape.

Equipped with 2 surfboards, 2 backpacks, a kite and lots of water we started our 1 hour hike. Halfway through, we came past a lagoon, which was great for a quick pit stop with a nice view.

After approximately 30 minutes we arrived at the beach from where the road forks. Either take the beach walk or the overland track.

Unfortunately, we arrived at high tide, which made the beach track impassable, so we had to take the slightly longer overland track. The views, however, made up for it :-).

And we also came across this little fella, lying in the middle of the track and soaking up the sun, not being bothered by us at all.
Another beautiful view from the top of the hill, this time to the north.
Down at the beach, we first went for a short tour...

...to have a look at the arc, before finding a nice spot to spend the day.

Jan enjoying the view and checking out the waves.

A bit far away, but Jan in action.

 :-)
